Yuer is an ethnographer who studies how grasslands across East and Inner Asia have been inhabited, reshaped, and reimagined in response to the changing ecologies of climate change and consequent conservation interventions. She holds a B.A. with dual honors in Anthropology and Arts, and an M.A. in Anthropology from Stanford University. She is affiliated with Stanford’s Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources and has been working as an ecological/‘conservation’ researcher.
